From behind the door I hear:
"What gets me is all the whining about, 'What did Kamala do wrong?' "
Before she could continue her thought, I interrupted with:
"She did nothing wrong, the country did the wrong. She had two things going against her...... She's Black and worst of all, she's a woman. That is all she did wrong. Had she been born White and been a male child, well, I feel certain the result would have been different.
From behind the cupboard door:
"Exactly".
Rampant Stupidity has taken over the country and it appears that what many of us thought was originally an aberration in the political cycle back in 2016, well, apparently we are not done being Stupid. The Stupid will have to be beaten out of us or wear itself out while the Theory of Evolution plays out on our populace.
I won't dwell on this, as I promised myself I wouldn't. Just wanted to let you know about short conversation I had with my wife as she rifled around the upper shelf containing the canned goods.
Keep it 'tween the ditches..... Um, well, at least try hard to ........................

I recently discovered this guy. Wish I had many years ago. I'd say we were kindred spirits, but that's just too predictable. Let's just say, we have quite a bit in common. Without further adieu, please enjoy, "Conservative Christian Right-Wing Republican Straight White American Males", by Todd Snider.

Kamala didn't do anything wrong. The Democrat party is viewed by most Americans as the party of the elite. Democrats constantly made the comparison of voting the populations of 'college graduates' and 'non-college graduates'. That was an elitist comparison and I am sure turned off many working people who didn't have the means to attend college: the smart people and the dumb people. Little comments like that could, and probably did, cost the Dems the election.
Kamala/Walz did a very good job in the time they had. They lost IMO exactly because (similar to what Buzz says and Bernie Sanders also said) because the “Blue Wall” blue collar workers have felt left out of the Democratic Party since they were decimated by Reagan (a Republican)….. the Democrats mounted campaign after campaign during the 80s, 90s and 00’s where they took the blue collar support for granted, and hell, even Clinton decimated them with NAFTA and GATT. Every lost election from Gore to the present was due to poor showing of blue collar votes in the old Blue Wall states (MI, PA, WI, and also formerly OH). Obama briefly got enough of them back because he was more inclusive of them. Biden’s support of blue collar folks back in the 70s narrowly allowed him to win. But IMO Gore, Hillary Clinton, and now Harris lost not because they did things wrong, not because of some bias…. but because the blue collar folks feel ignored by what should be there party…. and most only listen to sound bites of what DJT says (and not the substance of what he does)….. and vote for him because of his sound bites.
